This past Sabbath was a high Sabbath for some of us. Some staff and students piled into 2 vehicles and headed to the mountains. We were headed to a small village were only a husband and wife are the only adventists! So here is another mission field for the school. They told us that the Baptist pastor wants to study the Bible with us. So, next Sabbath we will be heading back up the winding road to this small village for Bible studies. Here are some pictures of sites we saw along the way and also at the village. Enjoy!
After going several kilometers, we come to this nice view point. Those high mountains are in Burma and are school is down in the valley.
Here are some of our students and staff enjoying the view and getting their pics taken!
Further along our trip, we came to a beautiful waterfall. If we had time, we would have all gotten out of our vehicles and gotten wet. It was hot enough to do so. Next time!!
We finally arrive at the village high up in the mountains. Here we are parked next to the hut that we will be having Branch Sabbath School.
Here there were many beautiful flowers that were in this couple’s yard.
Here is the only adventist couple in the village. They opened their home for us to worship with them.
First we prayed and sang some songs. Then Michael Ross gave a talk on Prayer. We then closed with prayer. They want us to come back next Sabbath. So keep us in your prayers that we can spread the gospel to many in this village!
