Wow! I can’t believe that this school year is over! God is so good in what He has done here at the school so far. Here are some pictures from graduation:
The site where we had our graduation.
Some of our students and staff worked hard to make the place look beautiful!
Some happy faces!
Student parents and relatives came for the event.
Ready to start the program.
Thara Bletjaw was our Master of Ceremonies and welcomed everybody that came.
Next our school choir sang a beautiful song. The theme of the song was about making God first in your life.
After Thara Dahboo gave the opening prayer, grade 7 sang a special song.
Thara Joko, the school principal, gave a speech on the purpose of our school which is not to give an education to make alot of money, but to use the education to help finish God’s work. Jesus is coming soon!
Next the Medical Missionary students sang “The Lord is My Shepard”.
After the song, we had a guest speaker. Arthur, the KNU Education Leader, gave an inspiring speech on Education as a light in the darkness that we should share!
Then grades 6 & 8 did a special music. While they were singing, some of them put yarn leis on the teachers.
Next, all the teachers were asked to come up to recieve a picture of all the students and report cards and class photos for the students in their classes.
Handing out report cards and class photos to the students.
The vocational music class sang a wonderful, four-part- round song.
Next, grade 5 sang a beautiful song.
Thara Kelly gave a speech on different Bible texts that would give each student encouragement as they go back to their homes and also he told the students about our new plans for next school year–God’s education.
And here is Thara Joko’s family and Heidi singing a special song, “May The Lord Find Us Faithful”.
In closing, Thara Moo Gayle gave the closing prayer. It was a prayer that encouraged all of us to be faithful so that Jesus can come soon! Keep these young people in your prayers everyday. There are many temptations that come to them and pray for the teachers that they will be a light to the students.
Within a few hours after graduation, about two-thirds of the students were on their way home and more will go home on Sunday. We hope to see them back in May to begin the next school year.
