Well, time has a way of flying faster than I realize some times. Or maybe it’s not that I don’t realize how fast it’s going by, but that I just can’t make everything keep up with the pace of it. In any case, Thanksgiving is over and Christmas is approaching–and you’re probably wondering what is happening here.

The truth is that so much has happened that I can’t possibly give details of it all. There were the sick students and villagers to care for or take to the hospital. There were the evening meetings at the local SDA church for the better part of the break (Dec 3-14). There was a trip to Chiang Mai for some of us. There was all the planning for the new dorms, and then finally dedicating them yesterday (see blog post). And a few other things I’m forgetting I’m sure.

But that’s not really the point. I am so grateful. For as I walked away from the dedication yesterday, the thought struck me once more–no one could do this alone. We’re a team. No matter how much we may feel at times that we are working alone, we are blessed with so many people who in some way, big or small, are helping to keep this school running. There are Paul and Lena Adams and their children, Kelly, Denise, and Landon Meyer, Erick Reeve, Jonalyn (soon to be Erick’s wife), and others.

Why do they stay? Why do they work here?

You know what I think? I think they know something that some people don’t know and many more don’t believe–that . . .

A life given away is a life really lived.

Thank you — because we couldn’t do it without you.
