On January 31 st., we took the 10th grade class for a special sabbath afternoon picnic, hike, and Adventist Youth program at a beautiful place in the mountains. Then on February 10 & 11, we took them on an overnight picnic. Here are the pictures:
We found a beautiful spot along a river close to the mountains,
After we set our things on the mats, we headed out for a hike.
Mountains in the distance.
Coming into one of the villages along the way,
Going to hike up the river a ways,
Having fun along the river.
Trekking through the jungle.

At a swinging bridge.
Looking a some big fish.
Found some big rocks to rest on and some jumped into the water.

Back to spot along the river. Now time for the Adventist Youth Program.
We begin with prayer and song service.
Reciting Bible verses.
A special song.
A student sharing her testimony and Hannah translating it.
A local visitor who was not happy because we were sitting next to her drinking water source, the river.
After we finished the program, we had prayer and ate supper, then packed up and headed home.
Then about 10 days later, we headed up a different mountain road to our second picnic:
Setting up camp on a mountain view point.
Stringing up the hammocks.
Playing ball.
Beautiful sunset.
Roasting tvp.
Cooking sticky rice and bananas in the pot.
Shredding coconut to eat with the sticky rice and bananas.
Eating sticky rice and bananas
Having worship.
Heading for bed.
Getting breakfast started the next morning.
Having morning worship.
Breakfast almost ready to eat.
All smiles!
Being silly.
Later on in the morning we all jumped in and outside of our car and headed to this waterfall.
A closer look at the group.
Some pools above the waterfall. It was cool and refreshing.
After a fun time, we head back to camp to get lunch ready.
Patiently waiting!
These girls decided to wrestle instead.
After lunch was finished, we packed up and headed home. Grade 10 really enjoyed their special picnic. Soon they will be graduating and we pray for each one that they will choose to serve the Lord where ever He puts them for His service.
