After a twelve hour flight (leaving Seattle at 2 am), a four hour layover in Taipei, and another four hour flight, we safely arrived in Bangkok. Immigration went smoothly, as well as claiming all our baggage. Customs turned out to be almost non-existent. Soon we were packing all our things into our vehicle after meeting Mike and Marilee Kier in the airport.
With that part of our travel complete, we spent the night with the Kiers and started on our way home the next day (Wednesday). But due to having something fixed on the vehicle before leaving, we only made it half way (about four hours) before finding a hotel for the night. The next day found us in Mae Sot for some shopping and more vehicle repairs which weren’t finished until 4 pm. But we did get home that night, and how glad we were! There’s no other place like home. . .
