Vehicle update

We have so much to be thankful for. You may recall that we have been appealing for funds to purchase one or two additional vehicles for use here at Sunshine Orchard. One older truck just can’t keep up with all the demands of a growing school.

Before we went to America to renew our visas and present a few mission reports, we got word from some missionary friends that they were selling a Toyota stationwagon. It has a fair number of miles under its belt, but we were told that this diesel car was well cared for, and it should be good for quite a few more miles.

Praise the Lord, thanks in part to donations toward the vehicle fund, our family was recently able to purchase this vehicle for a good price (under US$3,500). Now that we have purchased this vehicle, it has been quite busy, especially since we have additional foreign volunteers who are able to help run to town to purchase necessary items, etc.

There is still a significant need for a “songteau” type of vehicle (see picture here). The Thai SDA Mission tells us that such vehicles with lower mileage may be purchased in Bangkok for around $15,000. Of course, we pray that we will find one for less. Would you like to help?
